Lifetime Income Planning

"Retirement plan" means two different things to the two primary users of these plans - and each group has its own specific goals, needs and concerns.

Employers ("Plan Sponsors") who offer retirement plans to help recruit and retain employees are often most concerned about competitive plan costs, managing fiduciary responsibility, and offering employees a good selection of investment options and effective education. Organizational staff may have little interest or time available to coordinate and monitor education, recordkeeping and asset management, and need support to address regulatory requirements, keep plan participants happy and pursue increased plan enrollment. Some of the strategies we implement are:

  • Independent, open-architecture investment advisory services to plan sponsors
  • Advisors accept ERISA 3(21) and 3(38) fiduciary responsibility; level of responsibility depends on scope of services
  • Plan provider benchmarking and design feature optimization services
  • Low-cost management fees - utilizing both active and passive strategies, mutual funds, ETFs and common collective trust funds with full fee transparency
  • Work with independent recordkeepers or bundle asset management with AGH recordkeeping
  • Group and one-on-one employee enrollment and education meetings, including participant-level investment advice
